This is to let you know that the Friends group have been assessed under the Britain in Bloom category “Its Your Neighbourhood ” with a level of Outstanding (86-100%) for 2025. This is the highest level and is judged on all aspects of what we do. The various elements include the gardening work and the community engagement by way of opening the castle for refreshments and welcoming visitors and the Shaldon primary school volunteering groups. Also our strong links with the Parish Council, Teignbridge and the id verde maintenance teams including our dedicated gardener Dave. Not to forget of course the gardens’ popularity with its canine regulars.
We will have to keep up the good work in 2026!
