Discovering the story of Homeyards

When the Friends of Shaldon Botanical Gardens was set up in 1989. Harold Bucklow and Elizabeth Ward researched and wrote about the history of the Gardens. In February 2009 the Friends decided to research the broader story of Mrs Homeyard and her effect on Shaldon during the 1930’s.

We are still keen to hear any stories that relate to this period, but the information that has come to light thus far is possibly worth making into a book that could be sold to benefit the Gardens.
